Hey Everyone,

I started the Jillian Michaels work out...its SO good.
It incorporates a lot of what Paul talked about at the SJ event. When I was done doing it I felt like I felt after the fitness test. It even has the 'up downs (burpees)' in it...so hopefully, I will be better at them when I redo the test in 6-months.

My food wasn't 100% this week but I am still feeling good. It amazes me how I feel when I am excerising. I know I look the same at this point but I certainly do not feel the same. Very exciting....

I hear you betsylou! Those Oooops messages are really annoying when you lose weight! I can see if you gained weight but is it really necessary when you did lose weight.

I too am following ww and exercising 1 hr a day 4-5 days a week and would think I would be losing more than 1.8 pds per week but I guess I'll take it maybe some week it will be more. Have a good week everyone! Jenn

Who is a fan of The Biggest Loser?! I absolutely love that show! And it definitely has some great fat burning tips, and keeps you motivated!

iluvglock I think the meet and walk is an awesome idea. Can't wait I think it will be great together with others from the challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hi all,
Well today was weigh in day at ww and I decided to stop tracking 2 plans so I waited until today to use their weight, which I knew wasnt quite the same as the Saint John weight or the same as my scales at home. It was getting to confusing so I decided to just go with the ww weight. So how come I was so disappointed to lose 1 lbs on their scale when mine, which was closer to the Saint John weight, said 2.4lbs down....isnt the mind a funny thing. I told myself this "adjustment" week was going to happen but when i had to register -1 on here it upset me to get the OOPS you're off track message...silly isnt it! I KNOW I worked hard this week..5hrs 10mins of cardio and weight training, I did eat all my ww extra points. Anyway, thanks for letting me whine. Next week will be my week to shine!

Keep up the good work, this is a lifestyle change not a diet plan!

Hey everyone, I came across this video and thought I would share it.
It's Peter Jennings' 2004 report "How to get fat without even trying", on the role North American governments and the food industry play in the explosive growth of obesity.

It's a long video (10 mins).

It's not funny.

It's a great watch.

BOOT CAMP at the Y - or should I say "Creating Balance Class"

This class is offerred on Tuesday nights at the Saint John Y - it is a great way to put a bit of variety in your exercise routine, learn technique and gets oem ideas that you can use on your own. never mind the sense of accuntability, competitiveness and comradry that exists :)

This class has really helped me start to move significant inches

I guess when it comes down to it I just need the accountability - Weight Watchers, Boot camp and of course.... Paul coming back in 6 months :)

Yeah great weight loss this week!! Congrats everyone!! Those of you with the "stuck" scales don't get discouraged...mine was stuck also. Lost 20 lbs from Oct to Dec then I seemed to just stop...kept within a pound up or down then BAM this week it dropped. I kept up with the clean eating, watched portion sizes and have managed to stop eating in evenings. Since joining the challenge I started going to different classes at my gym and finally saw some results. I think doing "different" exercise is the key...not just more". Keep it up, remember its a long term goal and inches mean more than pounds!!

YAY!!!!! We are a top community today - how cool is that

our organizing committee from Saint John X Weighted is going to meet this week to discuss activities for the next 6 months - we are open to suggestions from participants - we will have some seminars but are open to suggestions on topics as wellas physical activities. Our first meet and walk will be on harbour Passage - stay tuned for the date

I hear ya girls - the scale is not budging for me either - another plateau - hope it ends soon but i do believe the inches are coming off - i had a little black dress that I couldn't get on that now looks SMASHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

keep the faith - it will come off and congrats to everyone on a successful second week

I agree on the blogging part - mary Lou has a site for her WW crew and i used it faithfully - much better for me than the written journal - i think because others could see it. i started to do the same thing on my own blog site - i post every day - good or bad
