Moniera you're an ace athlete. Congratulations on completing your goals! Stanley Wu is a star coach. He shifts my thinking so that I'm not thinking of losing weight but gaining muscle. He holds me accountable and texts me when I'm out of town to report back on my activities and nutrition. He is expensive, but well worth it.

Ennoil, so awesome you made it up GG in 1:10! And cut your time in half!! Amazing. Haven't it made it over to Grouse yet...urgh. The more I procrastinate the scarier it gets.

I'm in Toronto for the weigh-in next week. Wishing my Grouse Grinder team mates much success!!

Wow Ennoil - 130's?? You are my hero.

Pookamom - update us on how the trainer is working out for you. I keep thinking I want a trainer, but bottom line is I'm too cheap.

I've been having fun playing outside! Big ride to Lions Bay from my house on the north shore and back on Thursday. The climb was soo hard on the way back.

GG again today with a friend. Super slow time because I'm a good friend and I waited for her.

Tomorrow I'm riding from Porteau Cove to Whistler .. NOT BACK!! Don't even think about it because that would just be ridiculous. Wish me luck on the climbs.

And then next week is our final weigh in. YIKES!!

Wow - fantastic blogs! I'm really inspired. Haven't made it up the Grind yet. I heard they were working on it. Maybe I'll get up enough nerve to do it Saturday, July 3rd...if it's not raining. In the meantime, I have found an excellent trainer on the North Shore. Stanley Wu.

Wow wonderful! 100 km is insane. Your rock girl. I want to go and do the grind or Lynn Peak tomorrow (sunday). I know you said you were busy this weekend; however, if you're up for it give me a shout and we can go up.

Don't stress about the weight. You're doing great. You're simply gaining muscle mass and losing fat weight. It's typical for people like you and me. I know it's upsetting...trust me I know. Measure your inches instead of weighing yourself. I spoke to so many athletes in the last little while and they said inches is the most important thing. All of them don't trust scales at all.

As for me I haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks...yikes...and I am losing muscle mass because I'm not gaining any weight. I just want to be outside and do stuff outside since it's so nice. I do have to get back on track though. I have a wedding coming up in 2 months and I have my wedding dress coming in in September. I have to lose at least another 10 to 15 lbs before then. Which is basically my goal weight for this challenge. I know I won't reach it in the next two weeks but hopefully I'll get in another 5 lbs off and I'll be satisfied. I haven't been in the 130's for over 7 years now and it would be a great feeling to be back in those numbers.

yippy skippy for me!! had a great ride out to steveston today from the north shore. i remember when 100km was a big deal on the bike .. now its EZPZ!!

and i did the grind yesterday and last tuesday.
and i rode up cypress on friday.

and still i'm only down 15lbs in 24 weeks .. like seriously... aaarrrrgggghhhhhh

gaaahhh!! just logging on tonight so missed your post. went back up tonight .. same time but it seemed harder this time.

near the top the trail was REALLY bad ... i guess they're working on the trail, so there's a detour of to the side but you're just walking in mucky mud .. and its super steep so a bit sketch for sure.

the one good thing is that now i know when to anticipate the 1/4 mark so its not that awful waiting for it anymore.

Awsome Moniera!!! Good for you. I know you would have been happy with 1.5 hrs so shaving and extra 5 minutes off of that is fantastic. You're getting strong woman...Lets talk this coming week and we can go up together :0)

i finally got up there tonight and did it in 1:25. i was happy to shave 20 minutes off my old time of 1:45. so happy that i wasn't dying at all .. and the best part is i actually overtook some people. yiipppeeeeee!!!

OMG!! That's sooooo amazing. 1:10 is a great time. Yahoo!! I'm so so happy for you. Congratulations on reaching your fitness goal - and surprising yourself with just how well you did it. That's great!! Thrilled for you. Say hi to W.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I actually completed my Grouse Grind fitness goal of 1hr15 minutes; however, I did it in 1hr10 minutes...CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? The only other time I had done the grind was 2 years ago and I did it in 2hr05. So I basically cut my time in half. Man that feels fantastic. This time around I only stopped once for one minute to take off one layer of my shirts and that was it. I just kept on going. It wasn't as long as I remember it to be which is great. The first half is always the hardest. I'm really happy about this. I never thought I could do it in this amount of time. :0) Woohooo!!!
