I have created a facebook group called Dump the junk Motivation and if anyone is interested in being added please email me and I will make sure it happens. It's a PRIVATE group just to chat and to get and give motivation to others who are on this journey. It's marked private so we can be totally open with our thoughts and beliefs about weight loss and nobody from our "regular" facebook page can see it. So far there are over 70 members (I created it late yesterday afternoon) and they are from everywhere....the US, UK, and from NS to BC.  So, if you're interested send me a message on here or directly to my hotmail (staceycarter@hotmail.com ) or look me up on Facebook. I feel the more people we have to encourage each other the better our results will be. :)

Hi Lady Partridge, that's awesome that you would like to come to Paul's Fitness Seminar/Bootcamp!!  I'm just waiting to see the cost of the tickets and then I will forward you the sign up info.  It's going to be a super event!!!  It'll be my 6th bootcamp with him at that point and I'm just as excited as I was for the first. :) 

My run went very well on Sat. Thanks for asking!!  The goal time Paul and I set was 26:45 and although I wasn't sure it was realistic he convinced me that it was and indeed he was correct.  I ran across the finish line in 26:25!! I was beyond pumped with that result!!!!  I'm still smiling!! :)

Now my next set of goals is to run 10k in the Bluenose (next month) in 55mins and to run a 5k in 25 mins in Canmore Alberta in July. The 5k will be a huge deal as I've been working on that for over a year and I plan to do it at Paul's weekend bootcamp so he'll be there to share in the victory with me. :)

You're running program sounds great. Is it through the Running Room? That's how my husband started running. You'll be up to full running in no time!!

Cosmo,   Yes, please send me registration information on Paul's fitness seminar in Truro, NS.    I'll have to travel down to NS on Saturday and stay over night to be there for 9 AM on Sunday morning.

How was your run?   Hope you improved your time!   The run/walk program I'm following is for beginners and you do more walking then running the first few weeks.   And yes, there is rest days and cross training days in there too.

I have my first 5k race of the year tomorrow and I've set a pretty high time goal so I'm kind of freaking myself out a bit. I want to knock 3 mins off my time from last year. Although that doesn't sound like a lot to most people to a runner it is huge. Everyone please cross your fingers and toes for me! Hopefully I'll be back with good news!!

Paul Plakas will be doing his Fitness Seminar and Bootcamp in Truro, Nova Scotia on Sept.9 from 9-12. This is very exciting!!! This is the guy who I give total credit to for helping me lose 104 pounds!!  You DON'T want to miss this event. We are taking registration so let me know if you want more info!!

Hey Lady Partridge, that's awesome that you are losing inches.  That's a better way to notice your successes anyway.  Losing the inches is going to make your clothes fit better. Keep at it!  The gain could have been just one of those things, perhaps you snuck in a treat since you are going to the gym now or maybe you have started to gain a bit of muscle. That's a good thing too! :)  How often do you go to the gym? Do you do any weight training when there? 

Great job on starting the running program. I really like running.  It helps me de-stress.  How often are you doing it? I don't recommend you do it every day as you'll probably need the in between days for recovery.  I've been running for over a year and I still haven't figured out how to breathe properly yet. My friend has been helping me and he's convinced I have such problems breathing because I don't warm up properly. I'm working on that and I have noticed a bit of a difference.

That's awesome that you are doing it though!!  Sounds like lots of new and exciting changes coming your way! Way to go!!
