Slow and steady wins the race. One day at a time, one step at a time one mouthful at a time:)
Hooray for fabulous and fit.

Hi everyone,
I've been watching X-weighted and Paul for about 3mths and finally 2weeks ago I made the decision to really loose my extra weight. I was walking with a friend of mine since January, but she started slacking off and my new nighttime job made it hard to get out and walk.. So I had my treadmill that was just sitting there begging to be used, so I started using it 2wks ago and am loving every minute of it. I've lost a total of 7.3pds and am starting to feel better about myself, but some encouragement and motivation(I have the motivation, but will need a bit more) is going to be needed to get the next 53pds off..
I'm looking to loose it in the next 7mths and would love all the help I can get.
Thanks
Hi all,
I would be very new to the site and just wanted to say hello.
I am 34 year old 226 lbs and desperate to lose at the very least 50 lbs. I have 4 beautiful daughters that I would love to stay healthy enough for to see them get married and have my grandbabies!
So there it is. I love the show and I love Paul and his ways and thinking. He makes sense to me, when he speaks of goals and healthy eating unlike some of the others that we see on tv.
Well, thanks and wish me luck too....I am going to need it.
It's so great to see the success your group is having. Keep up the good work everyone!
hi vikki - don't be disheartened. i've worked super hard and am at week 15 with a weight loss of only 12lbs. but i can take 0.9lbs a week .. that's pretty close to 50lbs over a year .. and this time it feels different. i feel like for all the work its taking to lose the pounds, they're getting so lost they'll never find their way back!!
Hi Carson
I went on fitday.com and its great. I never realized how much fat I eat and how little protein. Thanks. Ive been tracking and working out so I guess I'll see tomorrow how it goes.
Hi Vikki!
I used to have the same problem as you, but it took me eight months to figure it out. I was eating way too much starch and fat - even though I thought I was eating right.
What might help is keeping a journal of what you eat, that's what helped me. I enter it online on fitday.com (for free!). It tells you how much fat/protein/carbs you are eating in a day, you should be aiming for 14% fat, 25% protein and 60% carbs. If your protein or carbs are too high - that's okay. But don't go over on fat! (So said my personal trainer.) I also try to avoid starchy food - because they litterally go right to my hips.
I'm not a huge veg eater myself, but I try to challenge myself to try a new vegetable every week. This week - it's artichoke. Wish me luck! The other thing I do is eat lots of fruit - a smoothie during the day, a banana or apple with breakfast, berries with my yogurt, and freshly squeezed juices (I don't trust labels). Just keep trying, and try new things.
Let me, and everyone else, know if any of these tips work for you! I hope one of us can help you towards your goal!
Good luck!

I'm on week 4 and I have lost 0lbs!! Im so frustrated it makes me think I'm gonna be huge all my life. I dont know what I'm doing wrong I'm working out 3 - 4 times. Increasing my fiber and protien intake. Im not a big veg eater but I still make sure I get 2 a day and i'm eating 2-3 servings of fruit. I guess i havent gained anything but to go 3 weeks and no lose a thing. Well all I have to say is THIS SUCKS!!!!
