My X-Weighted Help Guide
When I try to register, why does the page look odd and why can't I input my information?
If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, the site won't function properly for you. This is easily remedied by downloading the most recent version of Internet Explorer, or Firefox (a different browser software). Then everything should work properly.
I forgot my password, but never heard from XWeighted.com about how to get a new one...
First off, you need to check your junk mail folder. If the e-mail from us is not in there, it may have been filtered by your Internet Service Provider because they thought it was spam (there is an issue because we have the letter "X" in our e-mail, which unfortunately a lot of adult content spam sites use). We suggest that you add this e-mail address - x-weighted@anaid.com - to your address book or safe sender list in order for and e-mails to get to you.
When I invited my friends to join my group, they never received an e-mail invite from me...
Please see above, and tell your friends follow our suggestions to ensure that they too receive e-mails from us.
I want to do the fitness challenge, where can I find instructions?
There is a video demonstration from Paul for you to follow. It is located in the My Toolkit section of the site.
Where do I enter my weight loss?
Every week, you will be prompted to enter your weight and be given a new set of information to help you on your journey. Week by week, you will have more articles to read, videos to watch and things to think about.
If you are registered for the National Challenge, weigh-in starts every Sunday at 12.01 EST. If you are not part of the Challenge, you will be prompted to weigh-in every 7 days, from whenever you started the Challenge. You will have a week in which to enter your new weight (so for Challenge participants that will be until 12.01 EST the following week).
How do I enter times in the activity tracker?
If you did 30 minutes of exercise, for example, you would enter it like this: 0:30. If you had done an hour and 20 minutes of exercise, you would enter it like this: 1:20.
What is the My X-Weighted page?
The My X-Weighted page is your personal home page on XWeighted.com. Here you can track your progress as you enter your weight loss, how much physical activity you have done, how many badges you have earned, view your weight loss and fitness goals and access various other features of the site.
What are Xecute Points?
Xecute Points have been designed with the X-Weighted experts and will give you weekly directions on how to progress on your X-Weighted journey. These Xecute points are your list of items to accomplish each week. They are an important part of the 26 Week Guide and taking these actions should help you keep on track and ultimately reach your weight-loss goal.
What are Things to Think About?
While taking part in the TV show X-Weighted, participants are often encouraged to reflect on the things that are holding them back from being who they truly want to be. It is important to reflect and think through the issues that affect your health. Answer these questions as they are an important process, and a very useful tool in your weight-loss journey.
What does the My Stats chart show?
The My Stats chart shows how much weight you have lost and your physical activity levels since starting the Challenge. By clicking on and moving the button below the graphic you’ll be able to see where you are now and your results from previous weeks, presented in an easy to read graph.
What is the Activity Tracker?
The Activity Tracker enables you to input your activity levels. This useful tool will enable you to track the exercise you perform in a week- and whether it's moderate or intense. Use this tool to identify patterns and to track how many minutes of exercise you perform each week - the goal is to increase your time and intensity as you progress through the 26 weeks. This activity tracker tool will eventually be accessible as an iPhone application.
What does the Shopping List do?
The Shopping List, in the left margin, is a handy function that will allow you to manage your shopping list online. You can add items you need to pick up, or cross off items you no longer need. It’s a simple tool, but grocery shopping and meal planning is an essential part of a successful weight loss journey. This shopping list tool will eventually be accessible as an iPhone application.
What is My Menu Planner?
My Menu Planner is another tool you can use to plan your food for the weeks to come. Once you fill in your menu for the week online, you will be able to save your plan, print it, e-mail it to a friend or share it on your blog. Having your meals for the week planned out in advance is a really good way to stay on top off your eating habits and make better choices (it also makes it a lot easier when you hit the supermarket if you know what you have to buy for the whole week).
What are the Badges?
Throughout the Challenge you will have opportunities to earn badges. These badges provide a little bit of bling for your My X-Weighted page. There are 4 badges to collect, with each being available at 4 different levels - you can earn a bronze, silver, gold or platinum edition of each badge. Badges are earned for different levels of participation in the 26 Week Guide.
