Desperate Housewife - Ann-Marie
Ann-Marie is a stay-at-home mom, who hasn’t lost a pound since giving birth to her baby Sophie. Her weight gain has impacted her relationship with her husband, Robin, as she is too self-conscious to let him touch her. Because of this, the spontaneity has gone out of their relationship. Formally fit and active, with a passionate marriage, Ann-Marie feels like she has failed herself.
Being a stay-at-home mom suits Ann-Marie, but her lack of skills in the kitchen, or desire to spend time preparing food grates on Robin. Ann-Marie has put a written pledge on the fridge door saying that she promises to make her husband dinner 4 nights a week, but often ends up using convenience foods or not having dinner ready at all. She’s much more interested in playing with Sophie than “making magic” in the kitchen the way her hubby says that he can.
Snacking on candy for comfort is one of Ann-Marie’s major problems, and one she’ll have to get a handle on if she’s ever going to meet her fitness goal of completing a sprint triathlon.
