Iron Woman - Jamila

Jamila stopped working out when she opened her chiropractic practice, and, as she excelled professionally, she stopped taking care of herself. Her weight has crept up, and she thinks that unless she does something now, it will continue to do so. Jamila wants to get a handle on her weight, but beyond that, she dreams of becoming athletic again. She wants to compete in a half Iron Man race, which involves a 1900m swim, a 90k bike ride and a 21k run. Right now, there’s no way Jamila could possibly achieve any of those things, let alone all 3. Jamila has always made poor food choices, even when she was athletic, but she used to burn off all the calories she’d put in to her body. She uses her demanding work schedule as an excuse to eat high-calorie treats and eats out often with her husband, Mike. If Jamila is going to achieve her hardcore goal, which goes way beyond average fitness, she’ll need to increase her stamina and become a lot leaner. This means that she is going to have to make time in her busy schedule to plan her meals and get control over her sweet tooth.
