Rebekah

Rebekah is a pretty young woman who is fanatical about her appearance, but it’s dawning on her that nice hair and make-up don’t compensate for her serious weight problem. She is an emotional eater, burying her unhappiness in high calorie snacks.

When her father left, Rebekah stepped in as the “second parent”.  She is much better at being the “food police” for other family members than she is for herself. Her sister, Leanne, resents her attempts at control and they are constantly fighting. Their mother, Diana, is also morbidly obese and the home war zone drives her to the fridge. The family is so fractured that everyone eats alone in their room so that they don’t have to face each other.

Rebekah’s grandfather – her beloved Opa –had a debilitating stroke and the shock sparked a desire for change in the family. Realizing a drastic health overhaul is required to save their lives – and their sanity – Rebekah and her family vow to lose weight. They organize a 10K charity run in honour of their Opa. But can they set aside their tensions and support each other on their journey to health and fitness?
