Thursday Show Round Up and Challenge Update

Hello!Analisa fit test image

Here we are at the 11th episode of X-Weighted: Families. Tonight's episode follows plucky 23 year old Analisa as she tries to lose weight in the hope of improving her epilepsy and dealing better with the physical challenges that come with her cerebral palsy. Tonight's episode is a bit of a tear-jerker, but one of the most inspiring and motivating episodes of the season.

Here at XWeighted.com we are getting very excited as our NATIONAL CHALLENGE is almost ready to be launched. Stay tuned, as very soon you'll be able to register and start your very own X-Weighted journey, and possibly even earn fantastic prizes for reaching your goals. Registration takes place online, on the 9th and 10th of January 2010. On those two days you'll need to register in order to be in the running for the prizes (you can register at any time later than that and use the program, you just won't be eligible to win the grand prizes).

As part of the NATIONAL CHALLENGE, there will be X-Weighted events at participating fitness centres across Canada, where you'll get to take part in a fitness assessment and meet past participants, with experts from the show also taking part at some locations. (You don't have to attend the events to register for the challenge.) For more details on the challenge and the events, click here.

We are getting lots of feedback to the site through our contact page. Feel free to get in touch with any questions or comments, as we love to hear from you all and make an effort to respond promptly.

If you haven't already found us on Facebook and Twitter, add us! You can join our Facebook fanpage (by clicking here) and on Twitter (follow us here).

X-Weighted is still looking for participants for our next season. If you are sick of living an unhealthy lifestyle and want to make positive changes, have children between the ages of 8 and 17, and live in (or within an hour’s drive of) VANCOUVER, CALGARY, or KELOWNA, we want to hear from you! Application forms and further information can be found here.

New X-Weighted: Families episodes will be airing at the following times every Thursday:  9am, 3pm and 8pm EST, and then repeated on Sundays at 9am, 6pm and 11pm ET. If you miss the new episode, have no fear, because you can also watch it online on Slice. You can also watch all of season 2 and 3 on Slice's video player, so you can re-watch your favourite old episodes too.

This week, we've added 2 new follow-ups. First off, we have Michelle from season 1. When we left off with Michelle, she had an awful lot to deal with and there was much turmoil and stress at home. Happily, things are much better these days for Michelle and her family. We also have a follow-up with Sharla, from season 2, who pulled off one of the most impressive fitness goals in the history of the show - biking 50km while pulling her physically challenged daughter behind her.

Thanks for checking in with the blog, come back often.
