Thursday Show Round Up
Hello!
Here we are at episode 8 of this 4th season of X-Weighted: Families. This week we introduce you to Monaca, a grade 6 student who admits that she lives to watch TV and does little physical activity. Monaca feels very self-conscious about her body and is battling issues with her mom that aren't helping matters at all.
Last week was our second Twitter party, where we live tweeted through the new episode with Paul Plakas. It was so much fun that we are going to do it all over again tonight. Join us, and you can chat with Paul about the episode and ask him whatever you've always wanted to know about X-Weighted. Amy Muldoon, an X-Weighted fan and fitness blogger from Ottawa, joined us last week and blogged about the experience - you can see her blog here.
If you are on Twitter, join us this week at 8pm EST. If you aren't already on Twitter, it is super easy to sign up, and well worth doing for all the XWeighted.com updates alone!
We are getting lots of feedback to the site through our contact page. Feel free to get in touch with any questions or comments, as we love to hear from you all and make an effort to respond promptly. One viewer got in touch to ask about some of the recipes that our food expert, Elaine Wilson, taught Leanne's family last week. Wilson has a website, and is going to post lots of recipes there, click here for more information.
If you haven't already found us on Facebook and Twitter, add us! You can join our Facebook fanpage (by clicking here) and on Twitter (follow us here). If you become a fan on Facebook, then you will be entered into a draw to win an X-Weighted yoga mat!
X-Weighted is still looking for participants for our next season. If you are sick of living an unhealthy lifestyle and want to make positive changes, have children between the ages of 8 and 17, and live in (or within an hour’s drive of) VANCOUVER, CALGARY, or KELOWNA, we want to hear from you! Application forms and further information can be found here.
New X-Weighted: Families episodes will be airing at the following times every Thursday: 9am, 3pm and 8pm EST, and then repeated on Sundays at 9am, 6pm and 11pm ET. If you miss the new episode, have no fear, because you can also watch it online on Slice. You can also watch all of season 2 and 3 on Slice's video player, so you can re-watch your favourite old episodes too.
This week, we've added 2 new follow-ups. Jannette, from season 1, and Ann-Marie, from season 2. You may remember Jannette for her reaction to Paul Plakas when he told her that he didn't think that Fibromyalgia existed! Ann-Marie has stayed fit, loves triathlons and has grown her family since the show ended.
Thanks for checking in with the blog, come back often.
