Question of the Week
Jul 17, 2010
Every Sunday, we'll be asking you a question about one aspect of your journey. We hope that when answering this question (by replying to the blog post) not only will it get you thinking, but your answers may provide inspiration for other challenge participants.
Today we'd like to ask....
Reflect on the person I was when I began this journey – how have I changed physically and emotionally?

Changes in 26 weeks
Thanks so much for this brilliant list. I'm printing it off and pinning it above my desk.
Hi Pookamom
Thanks for the positive reinforcement. The last question of the week inspired me, but...it kinda got lost in the shuffle of the 26 week challenge ending. Really didn't think anybody but me had read it! Keep up the good work.
Changes in 26 Week Challenge
I was very excited to be one of sixty-three to complete the challenge the first time around. I am not sure where to begin with the physical and emotional changes, there are so many positive improvements in my life. I will list them in point form, in no particular order:
-I look forward to daily exercise
-I am excited about sandwiches on pitas!
-My IBS has improved more than I could have imagined
-I crave mini carrots and hummus
-I love to lift weights, heavy weights! and I have the "pipes" to prove it!
-I look forward to daily exercise
-Everyday, when I wake in the morning, I can feel my hip bones and want to feel them every day from now on! When I am 10 or 20lbs heavier, they are covered by a layer of fluff, not good!
-I see smiling, healthy people everyday at the gym
-My husband and I have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and he notices a difference with me on the back at my goal weight, much more comfortable
-I love to hike with my dog thru the woods at our local park and she loves it too!
-I did the Bluenose 10k Marathon and can't wait for the next one. Completed the 10k in 1:29:58, a very respectable walking pace.
-I enjoy eating good, local, healthy, tasty food everyday
-I surprise myself with the strength I have developed with daily exercise
-I no longer long for high fat, fast food. Don't get me wrong, I do eat it occasionally but TV ads used to make me crazy and now I hardly notice them
-I look forward to daily exercise
-An old back injury that used to flare up and have me suffering for days, now is improved in hours and it is due to core strength and flexibility and overall good health
-I roast peppers and onions on the bbq to have on a sandwich for lunch for the next day, very yummy
-Hummus and mustard have replaced mayo and ketchup
-I sleep better, longer and look forward to a good nights sleep, every night
-My muffin top is gone!
-I no longer dread being photographed
-I look forward to daily exercise
-I crave high-fibre foods
-I love cereal
-Never drink your calories~I drink water, black coffee and more water
-Everyday I wake and feel better than ever before in my life. It is a great way to start each day!
-I am at peace, knowing that I am living my life in the healthiest possible way
-I look forward to daily exercise!!
-I am setting a better example for my teenage daughter than ever before
-I visit my farmers market every week
-I amaze myself at how flavorful and how many veggies I can pack into a pita for lunch everyday
-Oh, and did I mention that I look forward to daily exercise?? I LOOK FORWARD TO DAILY EXERCISE!!!! I truly believe that this is the key! It is really tough to have the blues if you exercise everyday and see the improvements in your day to day life.
THANK YOU X-WEIGHTED!!!!
