Let's Talk About... Type 2 Diabetes

As we probably all know by now, obesity and Type 2 Diabetes often go hand in hand. Have you or someone close to you been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes? How has that impacted your lives? How did it make you feel?

My dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes many years ago. He suffered complications, and he didn't do well with his diet. My aunt also came down with Type 2 and she had a lot of trouble keeping her sugars stable.
I don't want that to be me. So far, I have had my sugar tested and it has been good.

Diabetes is rampant in my community and it is terrible to see the effects. People going blind, and having limbs removed. It makes me hate the way North American society approaches food, and how manufacturers and fast food restaurants try to make their foods more addictive by adding craploads of sugar salt and fat to them.
