How 11 year old Roly and his mom have used XWeighted.com to get Healthy
Angelica (noenoe) was looking for a website that could help her motivate her 11 year old son, Roly, to get healthier and lose weight. XWeighted.com provided the tools she was looking for, and since signing up 14 weeks ago, Roly has lost an awesome 20½ pounds.
“Because there are so many different things on the site, it really helped us to stay on track. We use all the motivational pieces, the recipes have really helped a lot and being able to see how you progress with the graph has been fun and helpful for us,” says Angelica.
The family has been focusing on creating healthy habits more than dropping pounds, but the weight that Roly has managed to lose has resulted in him looking and feeling amazing.
“It is all about healthy eating and healthy living for the family,” says Angelica, “we’ve gone from using white bread, white pasta and white rice to the whole grain versions of those products and eating more fruits and vegetables.” The family has also limited pop consumption and treats, trading those things in for healthier options.
Roly says that the changes haven’t been that big of a deal. “I still have treats sometimes I just can’t have them as often. I used to have pop every day, but now is limited to twice a week,” he says, “to succeed you’ve just got set your mind to everything, if you let yourself wander away then you have to pick yourself back up and get on with it.” Roly says that these changes have been made for good, he isn’t going back to his old way of eating.
The family is also enjoying being more active. Roly was playing basketball, and is now doing karate, which he loves. “This is a lifestyle I can keep doing,” he says.
Angelica is thrilled at how the changes they’ve made, as a family, have impacted them all (she has another son living at home too).
“I’ve been losing and gaining weight all through my life, so over the years I’ve learned exactly what I should be eating and doing. It’s just that I don’t always follow the rules. Keeping your weight in check is one of the most difficult things in life,” says Angelica, “My whole family is benefitting from this, we’re eating better, and eating a much better variety of foods.”

Inspiring!
Wow! awesome I am so proud of you as a mom Angelica, for helping your son to make these big lifestyle changes. Way to go Roly, you have inspired me, if an 11 year old can make changes so can I!
Keep on keeping on! :) Yvonne
