If you are looking for inspiration in the kitchen, then you need look no further than the blogosphere - there are hundreds of awesome blogs out there full of recipes, techniques and encouragement for wannabe cooks. We've rounded up a few great ones worth checking out...
Daily Unadventures in Cooking charts the successes of blogger Katerina as she learns to cook healthy meals for herself. It is a fun read and has tons of really fantastic healthy recipes to try (everything from grilled flank steak to stir-fried pea shoots with garlic and chilies).
The blog Escape From Obesity is a frank and honest account of one mom’s struggles to lose weight and get control of her health. There are heaps of really good recipes to be found on this blog (check the list on the left hand side of the page when you scroll down).
Cooking with Corey is all about recipes, delicious and healthy ones! Here you’ll find simple to follow instructions for delicious treats like pineapple popsicles, exciting recipes that embrace unusual ingredients, such as Columbian plantain soup, and descriptions of how to prepare all manner of foods. This is a blog for the adventurous foodie to follow.
Carrots ‘n’ cake is a blog written by Tina Haupert, a certified nutrition and wellness consultant, and it aims to help people find a healthy balance. There are so many delicious recipes on the blog, it is no surprise that there is soon to be a cookbook published that is based on the blog (coming out in Spring 2011). The recipes are classified into categories and most are quick and easy to prepare.
The Skinny Chef (Jennifer Iserloh, who has been a private chef to many celebrities and recently published the cookbook “Secrets of a Skinny Chef”) has a brilliant blog filled with fantastic recipes and tips for healthy eating. Check out this chipotle orange shrimp recipe, yum!
