10 Ways to Burn off a Candy Bar
Did you just cheat your healthy eating plan and inhale a candy bar? Here's what you need to do to burn off some of the most popular chocolate treats:
1) If you just couldn't help yourself from devouring a Snickers bar (271 calories)...
... then you'll need to play badminton for 30 minutes in order to burn that bad boy off!
2) If you ate a Kit Kat (218 calories)...
... you'll need to strap on those inline skates and do 22 minutes of skating.
3) If you just couldn't resist a Mr Big (299 calories)...
... then 35 minutes of circuit training should cancel out those calories.
4) If you ate a Peppermint Pattie (165 calories)...
... you're looking at around 15 minutes of tennis to compensate the consumption.
5) If you ate a Cadbury's Dairy Milk (200 calories)...
... 35 minutes of walking will negate the calories.
6) If those 5 Dove Dark Chocolate Miniatures somehow found their way into your mouth (210 calories)...
... you'll need to swim leisurely laps at the pool for 25 minutes.
7) If that package of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups called your name (232 calories)...
... you'll need to do 15 minutes of rowing to work them off.
8) If you ate an Almond Joy (235 calories)...
... then 20 minutes playing field hockey should get you back on track.
9) If a Butterfinger caught your eye (210 calories)...
... then 20 minutes of skiing will fix it!
10) If you ate a Cookies 'N' Creme (170 calories)...
... 25 minutes playing golf will make up for it.
When you look at the amount of effort it takes to get just one candy bar taken care of, you have to ask - was it worth it?
* These calculations are approximate, and relate to the number of calories that a 200 pound person would burn doing that activity. If you weigh more than 200 pounds, you'll burn more calories doing the said activity, and would (in theory) have to work out for a shorter amount of time in order to burn those calories.
This post is a repeat, but look forward to more original content to come in the future.

YIKES
THIS is why it is so darned easy to put weight on and so darned hard to take it off. How long does it take you to eat a Mars bar? What, 30 seconds? And it'll take at LEAST 30 minutes of intense activity (at less than 200 lbs) to burn it off...
Sigh...
Some foods should be illegal, IMHO.
MMMMMMMMMMMMM!
I slipped up and had a Mars bar today, guess I better hit the treadmill! :)
So I will really have to
So I will really have to re-evaluate my love of chocolat and try extra hard at only having them on very rare occasions, rather than the daily that I was used to.
Eww
Of course, I read this after splurging on an O Henry yesterday. Now I feel even grosser for it!
good to know
just in case i splurge on something like that!
i'm trying to be satisfied with a hot cup of decaf brewed with unsweetned cocoa in the filter basket, and skim milk.
So far, it feels quite decadent.
I've adopted a friend's mantra - that whatever it is won't taste nearly as good as skinny feels.....
